Bluebird Ware Crocks by Burley Clay Old World Style and Craftsmanship When settlers moved into Southeastern Ohio during the early 1800's, they found vast deposits of stoneware clay and coal. This abundant supply of clay and fuel attracted many potters to the area, where they settled to farm and make pottery. During the Ohio winters, which were both damp and cold, the farmers were unable to make pottery. When spring came, about the same time the bluebirds returned to the area, they would start their potteries back up. Collectively, these small potteries became known as Bluebird Potteries and much of what they produced is known as Bluebird Ware. Burley Clay Products has chosen to continue making their crocks with the bluebird symbol of their heritage. Handcrafted Made in America High Fired Terra Cotta for Extended Use Keep Indoors During Freezing Temperatures Ships Quickly! Where in the world can I get the traditional restaurant style brown french onion soup crocks?!?
Please don't say eBay...I've already looked! I can't find 'em via searches! Do you have some?
Froogle.com (and ebay)
Perhaps you are not searching with the correct terms?
You could also have a friend who works at a restaurant steal you some.
