How old is my china?
Copeland Spode Fleur-de-lis blue china cup and saucer. Don't know how old it is. 10 points for best answer. Hurry and answer.
My parents had a set like the cup and saucer you described. It was from back in the 50's. I know the company has been around for a while, but without seeing it, it is more than likely from the last 50 years.

During the groups extended hiatus from the mid1980s to 2007, he played in other bands and composed soundtracks.Copeland was born in Alexandria, Virginia, the youngest of four children of CIA officer Miles Copeland, Jr. and Scottish archaeologist Lorraine Adie. The family moved to Cairo, Egypt a few months after his birth, and Copeland spent his formative years in the Middle East. He started drum lessons at age twelve and by age thirteen he was playing drums for school dances. Later he moved to England and attended Millfield from 1967 to 1969. Returning to England, he worked as road manager for the progressive rock band Curved Airs 1974 reunion tour, and then assumed drumming duties for the band during 1975 and 1976. There are many big-time sellers of Spode on eBay. You might consider emailing a few of them to see if they have the expertise.
Depending on your level of interest, you might get a Spode book. Alternatively, check with your local library to see if they hold the title, or if they can borrow it from another library. Interlibrary loans are free in my town, and they borrow from libraries across the nation.

You could also try the companies who sell replacement china to people who have broken one or two pieces. In the UK there are a number with names like Platemate or Chinasearch (advertising in home magazines). Sorry, I don't know where you are, but there is bound to be at least one where you live. Some of them will even fetch the stuff from you when a price has been agreed.
