   sheesh, until Djokovic began with his heat, (or is it asthma problems, I’m confused as to which one actually bothers him the most), we never heard of the heat being such a major problem for the players. The players just went along their business, playing their matches and taking things in stride. However, now it seems that the players have all been turned into a bunch of wusses, fragile and incapable of playing, whenever the temperature goes over the 70 degree mark. What’s wrong with this picture? And, this fussing is made over the men, what about the women, aren’t they affected by the heat, considering they are supposed to be the weaker species.

   As usual… such an entertaining and thought-provoking read. You have quickly become my favorite op-ed writer, Mike.

   One day I am sure I'll face the same decision. My best friends through the years were, as you may have guessed, Rolling Stone and any other guitar or music-associated magazine. Like you, I have hundreds of them. However, my magazines never held an esteemed position in a bookcase. Rather a tidy stack in the corner of my studio. A lucky few of them actually made it to the “office” where all the fine porcelain was kept.

   Most of my friends have already began the migration to the storage room. They now live in those wonderful plastic semi-interlocking boxes that can be purchased at Costco for about 5 bucks each. I am convinced those boxes are especially designed for folks like me who cannot make those tough end-of-life decisions for my friends.
