Garden Forget
How long after amdro has been put down can i eat the basil in my garden?
I have an ant problem in my front garden, and about 4 months ago I put amdro down to try and control the problem. The ants were so high in number that I could not stand still for long while I was weeding. About a month ago after forgetting I had laid amdro down, I planted a rather large sweet basil plant I had previously had in a pot. I would really love to use the basil but I am afraid the poison is still lingering in the soil! How long should I wait, or is it ever going to be safe?

Forget-Madison Square Garden (Demi cries)
in garden and landscaping..what is the safest way to prepare a balcony rose bush for winter?
don't forget I wasn't able to plant this to the specified depth in the springtime because it is on a balcony. It is in a 2 ft deep x2 ft round pot. Last winter I lost 2 beautiful rose plants.
You may want to bring this inside for the winter as it is planted in a pot and it will freeze just like everything else. It doesn't have the insulating factor of the ground and it more than likely will not make it through the cold winter unless your are in a warmer climate. If temps get below 34C then I would bring it in and keep it near a window or door so that it can get light through the winter and then put back outside in the spring.

The Forgotten Garden?…forget about it.
Like the promo of a new film, I can see the melodramatic highlights scrolling past my mind's eye now….starting with the soap-operatic vow by a well-loved,favourite daughter never to speak to her father again after he revealed that she was a foundling….and ending with the “Fancy that!” revelation that the mysterious hunky gardener turns out to be a very eligible doctor.
I'm afraid the plot twists and turns were over-the-top and made me wish I had spent my time in my own forgotten garden.
