Italian Ceramics

What's the deal with Italian toilets?
Why don't they use regular toilets? All the poo gets stuck on the ceramic and then you have to scrape it off with a brush that they keep next to the toilet, and not everyone does. This is the grossest thing I have ever seen. Are they trying to save water? Or is there some other reason?
Sounds crap!

Italian Pottery Marks: Faenza the City of Ceramics $40.21 Black White Edition. The only pottery porcelain identification guide written in English that explores the rich history of one of Europes most important ceramics producing centers, the city of Faenza. Faenza, from which the world of art coined the term faience, was home to such past greats as the Minardi Brothers, Pietro Melandri, Carlo Zauli and Riccardo Gatti and is now the home of the most important ceramics art museum in the world as well as the largest international ceramics competition on the planet. Unlike most identification guides this book brings the artists to life, explores their character and their world. It goes beyond dry facts and dates and offers its readers the opportunity to understand their collections in historical and human terms. With more than 125 ceramics marks and almost 100 photographs covering the 19th, 20th 21st centuries, in a format similar to our first Italian pottery guide, the collector will find a wealth of information and a fascinating trip through time and art. Italian Ceramics - Grazia Deruta Maioliche - English
Car shimmies when braking; assume that rotors are warped; using semi-metallic pads w/ stock OEM rotors.?
Car: Toyota Corolla.
I had someone measure the rotors: are about 7.25 mm out of 8.00 mm remaining. They didn't see any warpage but guessed that it was there after driving my car and test braking it.
So, should I get new rotors and which brand?
Or, should I get new pads and which type and brand?
The guy who looked at my brakes suggested getting Raybestos ceramic pads along with Raybestos or Brembo rotors. But someone else suggested just get new ceramic pads, then try them on the old rotors. Does this make sense? And if I do get rotors, should I get slotted or drilled or just plain ones? OEM or aftermarket? Japanese-made or Chinese-made or Mexican-made or Italian-made?
Oops! When I said 7.25 mm out of 8.00 mm, it turns out that the normal tolerance for these rotors is between 7.00 mm and 8.00 mm thick, so 7.25 means that 3/4 of the surface is already gone.
Your original rotor doesn't have much wear onto it. You should take it to machine shop and have turn it (some auto parts will do it as well). As for pads I would go with Raybesto, they have been in brake business for a very long time.
As for rotors, I would go with the Raybesto premium (not chinese or Mexico made). I would stay away from drilled or slotted. The drilled will crack and the slotted will wear down the brake too fast. Brembos are fine product as well, although they are expensive!
My Name is Joanna and I love Old China Patterns and sharing information with others on where to obtain those "hard to find" gems or replacements for your collection. Thanks for visiting my website!
