Jar Canister How much instant tea do I use?
I have a stupid question. I am trying to make a gallon of iced tea. Unfortunately for me, I threw out the jar and keep it in a canister so I don't know how much tea to use for a gallon. I can figure out the sugar myself, but this is driving me nuts!
I am Australian and we and the Poms believe you put a teaspoon for every person having a cuppa in the teapot, and then one for good luck. So measure how many cups are in a gallon then add one for each and the extra.

Is there toxic lead levels in Antique Mason Jars?
I have light aqua Atlas Mason Jars patent date Nov. 30 1858. I use them as canisters for nuts and chocolate chips. Someone told me lead is what makes the blue colour. I couldn't find anything online. My hope is that someone will know. I really love my jars so I hope I can continue to store food in them. Thank you in advance
the lead is lead oxide the same that is in fine "lead" crystal. If I understand correctly it is locked into the glass in a manner that prevent food contamination.
