Lenox China What about Chinese imports and lead, and other dangerous chemicals?
We all know about the lead painted toys from China and the pet food which has killed many pets. Recently I saw Dora, and Cars and others melomine dishes which were made in China. I asked at the supermarket and was told yes they know but they have not gotten any recall notice so they have not removed them. Do you really think out government is checking these items out. I see Lenox, and other great American brands are also now made in China, pots, dishes, knives, coffee pots etc, how safe are all these products? And why can't we make them here?
I don't think we will be able to take back out manufacturing. We won't have the factories, or the manpower, or the know how.
It is a setup, it happened old time and too bad it happened again.
It takes a very complicated progress to import and export goods internationally... why it got caught in the huge amount of the purchase order? the factory owner hanged himself...
Of course, when bad things started always more bad things continue... when it got to media...

How can we return gifts we did not register for without receipts?
We got married 3 weeks ago and got a lot of things not on our registry, including several Lenox items. We're moving to England from the US, so we didn't register for anything that could not travel with us, and we've been telling relatives about our plans to move for months. Now we have several hundred dollars worth of useless items that we cannot return since we don't have receipts. We don't want to be ungrateful, but we plan on moving to Europe permanently, and we'd never travel with china, which is why we didn't register for it. Any ideas for stores that would accept these things? We thought of trying to sell them on ebay but these items may be too fragile to ship. It's also mainly one family that got us the items, but we don't want to hurt their feelings by asking for receipts.
Thanks.
thanks - lots of good ideas!
Ebay, craigs list, in store credit, charity, and my personal favorite if you know a lot of others getting married REGIFT...as a joke of course.
