Can I keep a pitcher of Brita purified water out of the fridge?
I bought one of the filtering pitchers to have at work, but I don't exactly have a fridge to keep it in, I just want to keep it on my desk instead of buying bottled water, but can I just leave it there, do I have to dump it out everyday or will it be good just sitting there? It has a lid.
Yes, it's just water (and rather clean water at that after being filtered). I agree with the first answer too: you will have to clean the pitcher, and possibly change the filter, more often than if it were refrigerated since the higher temp. will increase humidity and encourage bacteria to grow faster. I'd say give it a good scrub once a week and change the filter once a month (instead of every 2 as normally recommended).

Can Acrylic Pitcher hold hot water?
been looking for tempered glass pitcher with lid, so far i don't see many options with lid. Tempered glass is thermal shock resistance. Thinking to get a acrylic pitcher instead, but i don't know if acrylic can hold hot-boiling water.
I made jello in an acrylic pitcher once. Had to pour boiling water into it and it held up fine. You should be ok.
