Rectangular Baker What does Betty Crocker mean by an angel food pan?
I am trying to make her angel food cake, but the wording on the box is confusing. It says" Do not use Bund cake pan or angel food pan smaller than 10" x 4". It's important because she says to use the lowest position for an angel food pan and the center position for a loaf pan. But, I want to use a 13" x 9" rectangular baking pan. I'm confused! I guess by now, you figured out that I am a novice baker?
Now I get it! Thank you all very much. Since you all said the same thing , I cannot select a best answer. It wouldn't be fair to all. But, after describing the pan, I remembered that I have one, so I panned through the pans and lo and behold, there one was! Guess what? It's a 9" X 3" !AAAGGGHHHH. I guess I'll go to the Chinamart,aka,Walmart and get a 10" x 4". Thanks again.
It's a round pan somewhat like a bundt pan, but the bottom of the pan is flat and removable. You could use a regular rectangle pan, but you may need to adjust baking time and temp.

How does a beginner baker carve a cake into a different shape?

cut out a stencil with baking paper use a long thin bread knife use a sawing action allow the knife to do the work don't squeeze the cake down. good luck
geez. i barely got mine out of the box, and you've already made a recipe in them! haha!i personally love the o'nite french toast…just the regular way. i make it in my RECTANGULAR BAKER and i havent had a problem with sogginess OR the syrup hardening. and as a bonus…clean up is easy. *wink*

geez. i barely got mine out of the box, and you've already made a recipe in them! haha!i personally love the o'nite french toast…just the regular way. i make it in my RECTANGULAR BAKER and i havent had a problem with sogginess OR the syrup hardening. and as a bonus…clean up is easy. *wink*
