Saucer Teacup Hi! I'm looking to make food gifts for people for Christmas this year and need some different ideas?
Money seems to be tighter than ever this year and I got a newsletter this morning which made me think of doing this for close friends.The newsletter talked of making flavored honey and giving with a pretty teacup, teaball, saucer and a jar of the spiced honey. Or even flavoring pure maple syrup and giving with pancake mix, bowl and whisk. Or sugar cookies sprinkled with vanilla bean or lavender sugar, sent in a sugar shaker with cookie cutter, recipe all wrapped in a pretty kitchen towel
These are the types of things I'm going for. Any ideas???

Flavored Vinegars are a BIG hit with folks out where I am (SoCal)............Easy to make and inexpensive as well........You can get some "Italian vinegar type bottles" with a cork stopper at the dollar store (they have them whenever I'm in there.......)
Rosemary, Thyme, Tarragon, and any other hearty herb that won't wilt (basil is NOT a good choice, and it's expensive this time of year)......
There's a LOT of stuff that you can successfully do for a Homemade Gift that really comes from the heart........I'll star this and come back to and edit it as I come up with ideas (or steal someone elses;))
