Studio Nova help me in finalizing the hotel in orlando!!?
well, me with my 11 other friends are visiting orlando from 30 july to 4 aug!! n so i needa search for best accomodation. i wud prefer 3 rooms of double bed rooms each..the cost would be the major determinor which i wud prefer to be less than $50. n the other thing is t the location which would preferably be near to unversal studio, sea world, epcot and kennedy space research centre(if possible) or it can be in kissimmee as well. i have searched several options and have placed thses in mah hit list--

Just remember that you get what you pay for in terms of hotel. I have toured the Continental Hotel and found it to be on the cheap side of the hotels in the area. I actually preferred the crestwood suites. Because I like the idea of a partial kitchen. From the website I think the rate is $75 per night. If you have AAA your rate is about $68. They even have a coupon on their site that can save you some more money.

How do I get the best distortion in my studio?
I have a Boss MT-2 Metal Zone going into a Line6 AX2. I'm playing an ESP with Active Electronics. I'm using an M-Audio Nova mic with phantom power from my Behringer 2004a. I just figured out that I could cut out feedback and make my Vocals louder by fiddling with the EQ and listening to my feedback. Now I need to get my distortion to be the most brutal. I'm thinking use the MT-2 as a level booster and leave the distortion at 0 and use the distortion from my Line6.
Any suggestions on studio sound, getting the best kind of sound for Death Metal, Black Metal? The best open D on bass, guitar and kick drum, how to make it low and kick ass
I am a record producer/engineer/musician. The most recent death metal band i recorded and mixed is Pyrexia. The band used dropped tuning to c if i'm not mistaking and 4x12 cabinet. The distortion sound came from the amp, not simulated by any pedal, nevertheless, a POD. We used the real thing. We went back and forth from a Hugh's and Ketner, to a Marshall 900. I think the gtrs were 7 string. The cabinets were miked up with a sm-57 and a senheiser 421. we recorded 2 signals from the bass, 1 from the DI and the other from the amp. the amp was clean but the DI was distorted at the board for mixing later on. As far as the kick drum is concerned, i don't want to give out any of my secrets, but try sucking out the mid range, say around 700Hz. Add a ton of high end for the clicking sound around 10KHz, and add a bunch of low end say 60Hz. This is just basic stuff.
