Set Dishes is it possible to set up a satelite dish inside my flat?
ive got a satilite system but have moved to a tower block where no dishes are allowed on the outside of the building or the roof so is it possible to set the dish up in the spare room?
The radio signal strength from a satellite is incredibly small. Any obstruction will weaken it possibly to the point of uselessness.
I suggest that you try it by wiring up the dish, box and telly and point the dish through a window in direction South by South East. If you haven't got a window facing that way then prepare for disapointment. If you have a balcony then that will help a lot.
On your Sky box there is a signal strength meter available. Use this as a trial and for set up because it's more reliable than the old fashioned 'watch the picture' method.
On the remote select Services then select number 4 System Set Up , when the next menu apperas select number 6 Signal Test.
Adjust the dish for maximum strength. Sky recommend a strength of more than 40% for good tv reception.

i Just got a 1800 retaking prob get a 1900 and i have a 89.50 avg in high school(NY) . with 2 honors ... my after school activities are FBLA (future business leaders of america) in which i place 3rd in the chamber of commerce business competition 2011 . i have 4 times a month gone to a children's hospital to spend time with kids for 3 hours . I Play Varsity hockey (2 years jv 2 years varsity) and little league baseball. I am in BBYO and youth organization were u help the community its 2 hrs a week. i also Started a cultural exchange for kids coming from china to u.s universities and set up pen pals for them with my classmates . MY top choices are university of michiagan, umass-amherst ,ohio state, penn state and syracuse can i get into any of these?!
Most likely! Your resume sounds VERY promising and will look GREAT on a college application. Colleges absolutely LOVE applicants that have as much experience as you do. Think of it as applying to a job. You have business experience from FBLA (and even topped 3rd which is awesome!), volunteering at the hospital and starting a cultural exchange for kids shows you're somewhat of a 'family-type' person (which is very important to society! Plus, that is a wonderful thing for the community), speaking of the community...youth orginizations are amazing! They really help out on resumes and applications because the volunteer work you do shows that you give back and help with your community. Apply to all those colleges and I'm postitive you will get accepted to more than one :] Good luck!
