Antique Cup I have some beautiful antique china. Some of the colors inside the cup are red. Should I worry?
Could a casual cup of tea or coffe turn into a lead poisoned cocktail?
Yes. Lead can build up in your system and over time cause problems. They sell lead testing kits that you can test your items with. It won't damage the china, it just involves a swabbing of the area. I have no idea of the cost but I know several people who have used them and I don't think they are that much. It is worth it to test items in question.
Also, I believe the kits have enough to test several items, if you only have one thing to test (one piece of china will be accurate for the whole set) consider donating the leftovers to a daycare or family with small children so that they can test toys that they may question.

what are your favorite thrift/antique stores for vintage clothing?
I love thrift/antique stores that have vintage clothing but i dont like spending a lot of money. I also love traveling so I would be willing to visit it as long as it is in the United States. Do you find that cities or small towns have better thrift stores?
This might sound icky, but I have found some really nice stuff at Goodwill. There are other miscellaneous thrift stores, but they are typically more expensive. Goodwill is cheap! Larger urban areas definitely have more choice.

Hey, 'retired english teacher' - mickeymaus is the German spelling. It might very well appear on a piece manufactured in Germany.
Only a toy expert would be able to tell if it's an original and not a reproduction. Repro cast iron toys and banks are all over the place in the market, and the paint is often artificially aged to try to fool people. Find an expert, who will also be able to give you a value.
