Here’s my Life List – I made this last year and I’ve started working on items already! I’ve accomplished a few, such as surfing, the Pyramids, the Taj Mahal, etc. I started this list after I realized I’d accomplished so many things I wasn’t sure *what* I wanted to do with myself. 1. See Stonehenge, the Pyramids and the Taj Mahal. 2. Visit Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego. 3. Photograph Easter Island and the mysterious head statues. 4. Participate in a Vispassana, a silence retreat. 5. Tour across Australia in a van. 6. Volunteer on a farm in New Zealand. 7. Visit all the places filmed in LOTR, preferably on horseback. 8. Get PADI Scuba Diving Certification. 9. Hike the Grand Canyon. 10. Try skydiving, even if its just the indoor version. 11. Learn how to lead-climb. 12. Go on a camping/climbing trip that includes multi-pitch routes. 13. Learn how to sail a boat. 14. Work with big cats in Africa. 15. Go on a photo safari to see exotic animals. 16. Eat sushi and take part in a Japanese Tea Ceremony in Japan. 17. Wander the night markets in Bangkok. 18. Sleep on a beach on an Indonesian island. 19. Spend six months in an ashram, practicing karma yoga. 20. Fill an entire journal in a year (not including a blog!) for the memories. 21. Snowboard in Colorado, Utah and Canada (after learning how, of course). 22. Visit the zoo in Novosibirsk, Siberia. 23. See the Northern Lights in Alaska. 24. Participate in a triathlon. Who cares if I dont win, I just want to finish! 25. Get my pilots license and fly a plane solo. 26. Go deep sea fishing and catch something all by myself. 27. Write a book about my experiences. 28. Sell a screenplay and be involved in the production, somehow. 29. Be conversational in five or more languages: French, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Dutch, Czech, German, Hindi and Arabic. 30. Trek through a jungle. 31. Go through Wilderness Survival Training, and then survive a week in a wilderness. 32. Learn how to take a punch in boxing training. 33. Spend a St. Patricks Day each in Dublin and Boston. 34. Take a culinary class in another country. 35. Sing along with a guitarist in a lounge setting, for an audience. 36. Gamble $1000 I can afford to lose for entertainment only. 37. Donate $1000 I can afford to give to help the underprivileged. 38. Traverse the desert on camel back, camping in tents. 39. Drive across both Canada and the United States, including the Pacific Coast Hwy. 40. Design and get Ohm tattooed on my right wrist, and a lotus on my right ribs. 41. Ride a gondola in Venice complete with violin music and a cute guy. 42. Learn how to tango. 43. Float in the Dead Sea, slathering my body with the mud for the purification properties. 44. Run a 5k in 30 minutes or less. 45. Shower in a waterfall (a warm one!). 46. Take a ride in a fighter jet. 47. Walk on the Great Wall of China. 48. Go white water rafting somewhere beautiful. 49. Get a degree in Criminal Justice. Or English. Or Physics. Whatever appeals. 50. Grow an herb garden. 51. Take a ride in a hot air balloon. 52. See the Alhambra in Andalusia, Spain. Reading about it was amazing, must see it! 53. Join the Peace Corps. 54. Ride an elephant that has been ethically treated. 55. Take a bicycle tour of another country. 56. Learn how to ride a motorcycle. 57. Live with a family as a paying guest in another country for a month. 58. Climb one of the Seven Summits. 59. Hit the Bourbon Trail to taste them all. 60. Develop an appreciation for good beers. 61. Buy everyone in the bar a drink. 62. Climb the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty. 63. Cliff jumping in Hawaii. 64. Develop the skill to climb 5.10 or better consistently. 65. Perform a handbrake turn in a car. 66. Surfing anywhere in the world, so long as I don’t drown. 67. Go to Burning Man just once. 68. Teach English in another country for six months to a year. 69. Go totally naked on a nude beach. 70. Participate in Love Parade in Germany. 71. Go to Octoberfest. 72. Visit all 50 states. 73. Dress up as a comic-book character and go to a convention. 74. Have dinner with Daniel Craig. 75. Learn a martial art. 76. Learn how to sword fight and joust. 77. Learn how to play the viola and piano. 78. Invent a totally unique and delicious cocktail. 79. Walk a red carpet in a really fabulous dress. 80. Have a piece of my art hung in a gallery. 81. Go on a month long European cruise. 82. Save someones life. 83. See the North or South Pole. 84. Become a mummy. A yummy mummy! 85. Test-drive a Ferrari. 86. See a symphony performed at a theatre. 87. View a waterfall from a prop-plane in Guyana and Zimbabwe. 88. Prepare and serve a six-course meal for myself and friends. 89. Stomp grapes to make wine. 90. Teach a community yoga class for free, as often as possible. 91. Go to the desert. Take long-lasting drugs. Drink water. 92. Bungee jump. What the hell. 93. Learn how to swim. Properly. 94. Visit Machu Picchu. 95. Serenade someone. 96. See Jack Johnson in concert. 97. Read 50 classic books. Like, The Postman Always Rings Twice and War and Peace. 98. Send and receive letters and photographs to a person on every continent. 99. Own an appliance. 100. See Dubai from the World’s Tallest Building. 101. Get married in Las Vegas.
