One Response to Teddy Bear

  1. David says:

when I was little I had a 78 record of “The Teddy Bears' Picnic”, which your reference to a teaparty reminded me of. Deeply engraved on my psyche. Perhaps it influenced George too?

“If you go out in the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise.
If you go out in the woods today
    You'd better go in disguise.

“For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain, because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic.

Beneath the trees, where nobody sees
They'll hide and seek as long as they please
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic.”

(This isn't the version I had on that 78, which was more up tempo.)
